IUR Press has been founded to publish scientific studies by means of books, magazines, essays and bulletins on Islam, within a modern context and with the intention of making available to the public the intellectual principles of the rich cultural world of Islam, based on authentic Islamic perspectives.
IUR Press is a multi-disciplinary institution, aiming to express, with the assistance of her team of employees, a wide variety on the knowledge of and the developments on economical, political, his-torical and cultural aspects in the world of Islam. The multi-disciplinary perspective of the IUR Press originates from effective activities and interac-tions of Islamic scholars, political economists, political scientists, historians, linguists en experts on literature.
IUR Press wishes to reach the many specialists on the field of Islam and to provide the interested readers with clarity and with an insight on the existence of the Islamic minority groups, within Euro-pe in general and in the Netherlands more specifically. The IUR Press is trying to promote moderate thinking, which is intrinsic to Islam, and to stimulate a social-harmonic participation of the Islamic citizens within the existing multi-religious European society.
IUR Press publishes academic works on various Islamic sciences. Conscientiously we endeavour to compile a fine selection of both specified academical books and works oriented to a wider public. At the same time we will continue to put in an effort to ensure a decent level of quality in our achieve-ments.
